Make it to the Border was recorded in Panser Studios in 1994 and released on Panser Records in May, 1995.
The single from the album ”Saturday Night” had a good deal of airplay and apeared on some radiocharts across the country, including ”Norsktoppen” -the Norwegian top 10 on NRK radio.
Highest position was 4..
The record was well recieved and got some flattering reviews in the newspapers, but sold less than 800 copies.. And slowly vanished from the scene…
On the album there are a bunch of great musicans, such as Bill Booth and Hege Rimestad on fiddle, Knut Hem on Dobro, Bjørn Bergersen, Siri Dale and Jahn Dahlen on background vocals and of course the eminent guitarist Ken Ingwersen on most of the tracks. My all time favourite bassplayer and good friend Trond Nilsen did a fantastic job on the album as well. Tor Einmo played drums on all of the tracks- a very steady and amusing drummer. Jon Willy Rydningen also shows up on a couple of tracks and plays piano and accordian… My dear friend Lars Erik Årøy played the harmonica on a couple of songs. Ah- those were the days
Make it to the Border was produced and mixed by Ken Ingwersen and Trond Nilsen.
Ken Ingwersen and Trond Nilsen are the former founders of Panser Studio/ Records wich evedently was taken over, a couple years later, by Bjørn Bergersen
…And, uh, another album, you may ask? Hm…
